At Surface, 2025 marks another year of action, progress, and purpose. We continue to celebrate our partnership with the Marine Conservation Society and our membership with 1% for the Planet giving back 1% of our turnover to support vital environmental work while hosting monthly beach cleans to protect our coastlines.
Our Impact This Year

Corporate Partner with the Marine Conservation Society funding marine protection and supporting monthly cleans.

50,000+ single-use coffee bags saved from landfill, incineration, or the ocean through our refillable bucket system.

Fair trade in action signed a direct contract with a farm in Uganda, paying 3x the market price for green coffee to support farmers and strengthen local economies.

Over 1 tonne of waste removed from beaches through our community clean-ups.

Zero-carbon logistics teamed up with Hoffman Haulage to cut carbon from transportation.

No single-use cups only refillable keep cups offered across all our sites.
Our Commitments

By the end of 2026, Surface aims to have prevented 500,000 single-use bags from entering circulation.

We are on track to become the UK’s first zero single-use coffee roastery.

We will continue to challenge greenwashing corporations, calling out empty promises and demanding real accountability.
What’s Next
This is bigger than coffee. It’s about creating a movement. By proving that sustainable systems work from refillable packaging to fair pay at source we hope to inspire others across industries to take bold steps for our planet.
